- Provide leadership in line with GHD's core values
- Establishing long-lasting client relationships with municipal and private clients and prospects
- Provide mentorship and leadership to technical staff across our offices
- Provide internal leadership in the growth and direction of the North American Waste Management Team
- Lead proposals for new projects
- Lead municipal and private client accounts
- Lead GHD's waste management projects including planning and design of composting facilities, anaerobic digestion facilities, landfills, transfer stations, composting facilities, material recovery facilities, transfer stations, renewable natural gas projects and waste to energy projects.
- Own the preparation of technical reports and complete peer reviews of designs completed by others in the Waste Management group
- Undertake liaison activities with regulators
- 20+ years of experience in the solid waste industry
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a consulting role
- 10 years' experience in a business development role
- Engineer, scientist or planner
- Willingness and ability for overnight travel
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to work in a highly-skilled and diversified project team
