This employment opportunity is open only to Canadian citizens, to landed immigrants in Canada, or to foreign nationals who are legally authorized to work in Canada.Your mission:Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, this position will provide maintenance engineering and project management services to successfully implement assigned capital and major expense projects to support area teams. Emphasis is placed on project scope development, project approval process, and management of procurement and construction activities. Diligent management of the project schedule, budget, and scope is essential to be successful in this position. Projects are managed from inception to completion.
  • Act as Project Manager for capital projects
  • Mechanical Engineering support for capital and maintenance projects
  • Contribute to asset life cycle planning and continual maintenance
  • Assist with maintaining plant standards for mechanical assets
  • Act as a technical resource for maintenance work order planning
Your profile:
  • Possess a Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited institution
  • Professional Engineering status, registered with APEGA
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in an industrial environment; preferably in a Kraft Pulp Mill
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience with computer maintenance management systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.); experience with AutoCAD; knowledge of ASME codes B31.1 and 31.3; efficiency with MS Project
  • Familiarity with pressure equipment integrity management
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good problem-solving, technical, and project management skills
