As a Crane Operator, your key objective is to oversee and operate computer-controlled cranes used in the anodizing process. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing crane operations, troubleshooting faults, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position reports to the Anodizing Manager and has the following assigned general duties and responsibilities.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Crane Operation: Operate five computer-controlled cranes to move anodized materials and components throughout the anodizing line.
  • Fault Management: Monitor and reset any faults that occur during crane operations to ensure smooth and uninterrupted processes.
  • Homing Cranes: Use the touch screen panel to home the cranes and adjust settings as necessary.
  • Manual Operation: Operate cranes manually with a remote control when required, ensuring precise and safe handling of materials.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning of machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
  • Additional Duties: Carry out other tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support overall production goals.
Knowledge/Experience and Skills:
  • Proficiency with computer systems to operate and troubleshoot computer-controlled cranes.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and report issues or updates.
  • Previous crane experience would be considered an asset.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required to meet production demands.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with changing conditions.
