Ongoing processing and assessing new claims, detailed and thorough investigation, needs analysis, entitlement to benefits, facilitation of coverage and delivery of superior customer service
Establish priority of Insurers/Loss Transfer/WSIB
Effectively guide and assist the insured through the claim process, in order to achieve service excellence and successful file resolution
Ensure immediate and effective responses are provided through written/telephone communication to the following; (lawyers, clients, doctors, rehabilitation facilities and service providers)
Responsible for benefit payments (as per legislation)
Obtain approval from Manager on claims above authorityWho You ArePost-secondary education or equivalent experience
CIP or working towards designation
Minimum of 2 years experience handling casualty claims required
Strong organizational; decision making and problem solving skillset
Ability to understand insurance contracts in various jurisdictions
Knowledge of principles and practices of claims settlement, policy wording, fraud investigations and coverage issues
Ability to cross-reference information with attention to detail
Strong general computer knowledge required
