Comprehend drawings to prepare layouts including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, and measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions
Understand concrete forming and engineered forming systems to accurately build concrete forms
Skilled with traditional, PERI, Aluma and EFCO formwork
Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location
Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor’s high standards for safety and quality

Qualifications & Requirements

Provincially recognized journeyperson certification or a be a registered 2-4 Apprentice in Carpentry
Non-certified journeypersons must hold a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience
Experience working on major infrastructure and bridge projects highly desired
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well as part of a team, and meet deadlines
Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean 3-year driver’s abstract
CSTS-2020 Fundamentals, WHMIS 2015, ESC Fall Protection, Confined Space and Elevated Work Platform (training provided)

Work Conditions

Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day with potential overtime required over the summer months on the weekend
Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed
