- Comprehend drawings to prepare layouts including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, and measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions
- Understand concrete forming and engineered forming systems to accurately build concrete forms
- Skilled with traditional, PERI, Aluma and EFCO formwork
- Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location
- Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor’s high standards for safety and quality
- Provincially recognized journeyperson certification or a be a registered 2-4 Apprentice in Carpentry
- Non-certified journeypersons must hold a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience working on major infrastructure and bridge projects highly desired
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team, and meet deadlines
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean 3-year driver’s abstract
- CSTS-2020 Fundamentals, WHMIS 2015, ESC Fall Protection, Confined Space and Elevated Work Platform (training provided)
- Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day with potential overtime required over the summer months on the weekend
- Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed
