- Equipment Setup & Operation: Set up, operate, change over, dismantle, and reassemble a range of packaging machines such as bottling, blistering, vialing, and printers.
- Troubleshooting & Efficiency: Perform minor mechanical adjustments and resolve issues quickly to reduce downtime and keep production on track.
- Material Verification: Verify packaging materials against the work order using FIFO practices to ensure accuracy and product integrity.
- Line Clearance & Sanitization: Carry out cleaning and line clearance per standard operating procedures to support compliance and minimize cross-contamination.
- Calibration & Maintenance: Support routine maintenance tasks and recalibrate scales and sensors as needed to ensure consistent accuracy and machine performance.
- Quality Checks: Conduct in-process checks (IPCs), packaging tests, and batch reconciliation to ensure all quality and GMP standards are met.
- Documentation & Compliance: Accurately complete all required documentation in line with cGMP standards and escalate any packaging issues or product defects.
- Collaboration & Support: Work alongside Packers, Production Leaders, and Maintenance Technicians to meet production targets and support overall line performance.
- Material Handling: Replenish packaging supplies, including films, hoppers, and materials, to keep lines running efficiently.
- Training & Guidance: Support onboarding and training for new team members or Operators as required.
- Safety & Standards: Follow all safety, health, environmental, and quality procedures as outlined by internal systems and regulatory requirements.

- High school diploma required; technical diploma or certificate in mechanical/electrical field is an asset
- 1+ years of experience in a GMP-regulated or pharmaceutical/medical device packaging environment
- Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills including knowledge of relays, sensors, and positioning systems
- Familiarity with PLC interfaces, vision systems, and serialization equipment
- Comfortable reading and interpreting SOPs, batch records, and technical documentation
- Basic computer skills and the ability to operate HMI/PLC systems
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation habits
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods in a production environment
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends, overnights, or rotating schedules as needed
- Experience within a pharmaceutical or food environment
- Understanding/familiarity of cGMP
- Experience within a regulated environment packaging/food/pharmaceutical (FDA, Health Canada)
