- Must be licensed and able to safely operate a class 1 Truck.
- Complete driving assignments in a timely and safe manner.
- Ability to work extended hours & irregular days with irregular breaks.
- Will be required to maintain necessary logs, driving records and DOT certifications.
- Complete daily pre and post trip inspections of vehicle.
- Complete all other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Perform a variety of tasks as needed or required when not delivering concrete.
- Must be willing to travel and work out town occasionally (Hotels/LOA provided) when required
- Ability to safely operate and perform daily inspections on trucks.
- Some mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to back up efficiently and safely.
- Knowledge of road construction procedures.
- Knowledge of applicable safety legislation and ability to perform pre and post trip equipment checks and accurately complete driver log books.
- Ability to identify safety hazards.
- Have at a minimum an active Class 3 license (preference to Class 1)
- Pass an MVR Test
- Experience operating a class 1 truck in construction areas is preferred but not required.

- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Travel as required.
- Overtime as required.
- Use of personal protection equipment is required.
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements.
- Must comply with all company policies.
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
