- Vacancy: This posting is for an existing open role at WildBrain’s Toronto office.
- Hybrid work: Employees work in a hybrid model balancing collaboration in our office and remote work.
- Draft and administer a range of distribution, production, vendor, service, content creator, influencer, event and activation, brand collaboration, platform, non‑disclosure, and release agreements, as well as contest rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines as required
- Allocate, oversee, and review paperwork prepared by the legal coordinators and provide guidance when needed
- Assist in overseeing and organizing contract workflows, including tracking versions, progress status, amendments, execution, and storage
- Maintain template consistency, support clean-up and refresh projects, and ensure contract processes follow internal policies, escalating risks to legal counsel
- Remain up-to-date on advertising, privacy, and children’s content guidelines, as well as platform terms and conditions, and support the application of these requirements in contracting
- Track rights, restrictions, usage limitations, and property‑specific requirements related to content usage, distribution, partnerships, and platform‑based initiatives
- Collaborate with the business teams to ensure that creative, operational, and business objectives are met while complying with legal, industry, and platform requirements
- Bring material business and legal matters to the Director or Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs
- Ideally 3-5 years of work experience in entertainment / media industries in a deal-facing role (i.e., Business Affairs, Contract Manager, etc.)
- Experience as a paralegal or contract administrator would be an asset
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with external and internal contacts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities effectively
- Excellent, proactive client service that facilitates business goals
- Sound judgement to make effective decisions and problem solve
- Positive, professional team player who can work independently, reliably, and efficiently
