Winnipeg will soon be home to our largest store yet, offering more tools, equipment, and gear in one place.Construction is underway on the 105,000-square-foot store, which will feature new and expanded categories and an on-site restaurant to elevate your in-store shopping experience.We're looking for Team Members to join our Hospitality team this Spring, to help us provide Royal Service (and great food) to our customers.What makes us so great?We’re a private, Canadian-owned company employing over 3600 Team Members. We build trust by staying true to our word and providing Royal Service every chance we get.You won’t find our unique combination of products and people anywhere else.So what’s this role all about?The Hospitality Team Member is responsible for preparing and serving dishes for customers and
creating a positive dining experience in the restaurant while maintaining food standards and adhering to food safety requirements.Your accountabilities will include:Back of House
  • Assembles and prepares fresh ingredients according to recipes/dietary restrictions
  • Ensures the highest level of cleanliness is maintained in the restaurant
  • Cleans and sanitizes dishes and restaurant equipment
  • Complies with all industry regulations and standards through the adherence and enforcement of sanitary and safe food handling guidelines
Front of House (FOH)
  • Greets customers while providing Royal Service and delivering a fun and unique dining experience
  • Enters/monitors orders in the Point of Sale system, receives payment and answers billing questions from customers as required
  • Serves food and drinks to customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintains the highest level of cleanliness and organization
  • Monitors all inventory; receives, and restocks supplies to ensure minimal waste occurs
  • Handles customer concerns, escalating to Leader when needed
General
  • Supports other areas of the retail store as required
  • Strives to uphold a safe working environment
  • Supports and promotes a team environment
A few other things we’re looking for:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2years’ experience in a restaurant environment
  • Food Handlers Certificate
  • Smart Choices Certificate
  • Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a consistent display of professionalism
  • Point of Sale (POS), Café Equipment (grill, fryer etc.), and Retail experience considered assets
  • Good communication skills
  • Customer Service Focus, Team player
  • Reliable
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
