Must be experienced with paving equipment operation and comfortable working outside in variable conditions. A valid Class 5 license is required for these positionsJob Overview and Responsibilities
  • Comply with safe working procedures and practices
  • Interact in a professional and courteous manner with the public
  • Understand and follow the Alberta Transportation Traffic Accommodation in Work Zones
  • Perform daily inspections of equipment and complete any minor maintenance
  • Have knowledge of Hot and Cold Mix Asphalt mixes and their properties
  • Understand how grade/slope sensors work
  • Measure/mark manholes and water valves with crew as required
  • Shovel and operate skid steer when appropriate
  • Raking joints and seams, communicating with roller operator to achieve the best possible results
  • Load, unload and move construction materials around worksite as required
  • Requires a flexible work schedule including overtime, weekend and out of town work as required during the construction season (May - November)
  • Other general labour duties as required
