
Licensed Avionics Technician - Line Maintenance Operations (GOGO) 1

- Fabricate, install interconnecting wiring between major units, remote controls and indicating devices, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings
- They also must be familiar with standard avionic installations, practices, materials, manuals pertaining to avionic systems and installations
- Avionic technicians shall also assist in the removal and re-installation of any interior furnishings and will also be required to carry out minor repairs to the aircraft interior based on his expertise
- Licensed Avionic technicians may be required to certify avionics installation using company issued ACA when required
- Employees of this category can also be engaged in the inspection of components, parts, units, materials to ensure that they meet Transport Canada/F.A.A./E.A.S. A. Company standards of airworthiness and may be required to go through an approved company apprenticeship program. In this capacity, they could also be responsible for the conformity of manufactured interior components and furnishings
- Relevant trade school diploma and/or a suitable apprenticeship program OR College degree in Avionics or equivalent
- 2 years of work experience leading to thorough knowledge of AC-DE electronic theory, aircraft audio systems, communication and navigation equipment, including pulse techniques, and/or auto pilot and/or flight control systems, applicable civil aviation regulations and the expertise to perform their tasks commensurate with their classification
- Hold an Avionics "E" license is an asset (or M1/M2)
- Certification: Full YUL AVOP and RAIC obtained in first 6 months of work
- Ability to lift at least 32 lb. overhead
- Shift Expectations: must be comfortable with working 8 pm to 4 am, fully autonomous and accountable
- Location: Preference for candidates already located near YUL. Other applicants must be willing and able to relocate prior to start of first shift.
