In this vision, all Canadians will be able to access personalized solutions that can improve their health outcomes.Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Partnership Success and Health Products, the Director, Health Product Development will be pivotal in guiding the strategic direction and transformation of our product line and empowering the product teams for success through effective innovation and enablement strategies. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for improving health outcomes, someone who can uncover opportunity spaces and mobilize plans on how to capture them, and a team player who loves be part of a fast-paced culture.This is a fixed term position for approximately 12 months, that offers 4 weeks vacation annually and partial benefits.What will you do?Uncover opportunities for Sun Life to leverage health products to differentiate and expand our current suite of offerings.Lead the evaluation prioritization, product fit assessment, scoping, proof of concept, and early business casing with the objective of launching high potential pilots for further validation.Provide cross-functional program leadership: develop structure and lead initiatives that cut-across various distribution channels and product teams, such as the assessment and optimization of our product shelf, with keen focus on meeting relevant Client needs across the organization with relevant health offerings.Maintain portfolio strategy: continuously evolve the pipeline/portfolio of health products based on business priorities, key learnings, and evolving client needs.Develop, maintain, and monitor a dashboard to measure progress and outcomes.Lead the engagement and communication with key stakeholders; lead the process for business feedback loops as appropriate. Be an advocate for health products across the organization.Work closely with fellow Product Directors as concepts move to operational pilots, with the goal of validating scalable opportunities.Opportunity to both formally and informally lead and coach other team membersWhat do you need to succeed?Ability to ‘get stuff done’ in a complex and fast-paced business environment.Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and ability to manage multiple priorities in an organized fashion.Highly developed leadership and influencing capabilities, ability to effectively manage relationships across the organization to deliver against objectives.Strong strategic orientation: ability to identify and pursue opportunities that will either build on or extend our business model.Proven balance of analytical and creative problem-solving skills, ability to focus on the critical business issues in a data-driven and fact-based manner.A thought leader, inquisitive and comfortable in challenging the status quo, infinitely curious.A university degree, post graduate studies in management would be considered an asset.5+ years of relevant work experience (product management, strategy, health tech).As this position is posted in several locations, bilingualism (French and English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.What’s in it for you?

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
