- Collaborate with the Estimating team to assess and estimate project costs for various scopes of work, including civil, structures, track, and stations.
- Review drawings and tender documents to understand project requirements and scope.
- Utilize design models and integrated digital delivery (IDD) software for accurate project scope evaluation and quantity generation.
- Develop detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) using advanced techniques, including tools like Bluebeam.
- Contribute to the establishment of material price lists, labor costs, equipment requirements, and assist in obtaining competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Research historical data, including purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis, and benchmarking, to compile summary reports and support estimating guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate and comprehensive estimates aligned with project objectives.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
- Educational background with a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex construction drawings and blueprints.
- Understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, and cost control techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft software (Excel, Word, etc.), and experience with Adobe, Visio, and Bluebeam is a plus.
- Efficient time management and organizational skills for handling time-sensitive situations.
