
Sales Manager, Heavy Equipment

- Identify and implement opportunities to grow the business and maximize revenue
- Devise with General Manager Sales, and implement, strategic sales plans and establish forecast/demand planning by region and by sales head, based on industry trending analysis and in accordance with the Liebherr business expectations for earthmoving product
- Initiate, establish and maintain key relationships in the earth moving sector at the customer and industry association level and act as specialist interface between European production companies and Canadian sales force
- Conduct account analysis and revenue forecast regularly and ensure that new prospects and opportunities are being added to the channel • Work closely with internal Liebherr teams country wide and globally to ensure customers' success and satisfaction
- Devise, implement and support aggressive unit sales targets by sales head, target contact requirements to existing and new customers, track and manage sales performance by sales head and support market penetration
- Provide support to sales administration including; sales pricing and quotation improvements, standardize documentation and optimize workflows within Baan and reporting environment from lost order reports to order book statistics and stock management of earth moving equipment
- Actively manage the sales profit and loss reports and sales expenses to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Investigate all machine deals from quotation through to realized result and drive margin improvement within the sales team
- Provide guidance, advice and coaching on all aspects of the sales process from identification to completion including quotations and product presentations
- Provide direct leadership to the LCA EMT Sales Reps and support employee development through orientation, coaching, training, apprenticeships, performance management
- 10 or more years of sales experience within the Heavy Equipment industry.
- Must be able to travel regularly (up to 75% of the time) across BC, Alberta & Manitoba.
- Industry knowledge and network and demonstrated success in all facets of account development
- Sales-focused, responsive, innovative and strategic
- Advanced financial and non-financial skills to drive profitability and market penetration
- Demonstrated success providing customers with exemplary support
- Excellent analytical and influencing skills with highly developed business and financial acumen
- Strong communication skills in verbal and written English and experience liaising effectively with customers
