IT Security Officers (ITSOs) are responsible for overseeing information security for a specific IT sector. This position is tied to the Personal and Business Services segment of the property and casualty insurance sector. ITSOs have a direct influence on IT at their division. They are entrusted with a variety of responsibilities including risk analysis, reviewing action plans, contextualizing vulnerabilities, producing information security executive dashboards and monitoring strategic sector initiatives. Throughout their day-to-day operations, they exert a tactical and strategic influence over various sectors as well as future investments in information security. At Desjardins, ITSOs are supported by a range of technical IT security experts who use a matrix approach to improve their own workflows as needed.
