DeliverablesA Senior Project Manager is required to support the implementation of a large-scale Workforce Management (WM) system. This initiative will introduce a new organization-wide platform that includes employee self-service functionality, Occupational Health and Safety features, and core HR capabilities.The Senior Project Manager will act as the primary liaison between the organization and the selected vendor, ensuring successful planning, implementation, and operationalization of the system. The role involves close collaboration with multiple departments-such as IT, Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety, Finance, and other business units-to coordinate delivery, drive adoption, and secure stakeholder acceptance.The overall program is expected to run for approximately 12 to 24 months on a full-time basis (35 hours per week), with potential for extension depending on subsequent project phases.RequirementsEducationPost-secondary degree in a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Project Management certification or designation (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, PgMP) preferred.ExperienceProven track record leading large-scale Workforce Management system implementations.Public sector or municipal government experience is considered an asset.Over 10 years of experience managing IT projects.At least 5 years in a Senior Project Manager capacity.Candidates must demonstrate advanced capability in the following areas:Leading major SaaS implementations, preferably within HR and/or Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or Disability Management domains.Developing and managing project charters, integrated project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.Applying scope management techniques, including change control processes, to ensure clarity and alignment.Budgeting, cost control, resource allocation, scheduling (detailed and milestone-based), and escalation management.Coordinating internal teams and external vendors/contractors to meet project objectives.Leveraging project management tools and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint) to enhance team communication and performance.Effectively engaging diverse stakeholder groups, including executive sponsors, department heads, and end users.Preparing and presenting project documentation such as status reports, dashboards, issue logs, and risk registers for leadership review.Managing sensitive issues with implications for internal operations, external partners, and the broader community.Facilitating consensus among stakeholders with differing priorities, while aligning with organizational strategy and leadership direction.Designing and executing communications, stakeholder engagement, organizational change management, and training plans to drive adoption.Integrating project activities with concurrent initiatives across the organization.Managing business-to-business processes with external entities (e.g., regulatory or compliance bodies).Delivering projects of varying scope, including initiatives valued at over $1M and lasting longer than one year, particularly within public sector settings.Reporting to and interacting with senior leadership, including executives and directors.Applying political acumen to navigate sensitive projects with competing interests and strict timelines.Collaborating with IT Security, Privacy, and Records Management teams to ensure compliance with security and privacy standards.Preferred Qualifications
