Job DescriptionInternal Job Title: DevOps SpecialistJob Type: Permanent, Full-TimeJob Location: 18 Auriga Drive, Ottawa ONWork Model: HybridPosition SummaryAs a DevOps Specialist in our Lottery Systems group, you will work collaboratively with other teams in the design, implementation and maintenance of the underlying systems and infrastructure for our on-prem virtualized environments and cloud environments that support our range of gaming solutions.ResponsibilitiesAutomation & DevOps
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of software and OCI containers
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) principles for provisioning and configuration management
  • Develop and maintain scripts and tools for systems management
Infrastructure Management
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure
  • Manage and optimize clusters of physical servers, storage, and network infrastructure
  • Evaluate new hardware and software for deployment
Collaboration & Process Improvement
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve code quality and deployment processes
  • Develop and maintain documentation for processes, tools, and systems
  • Various other duties and responsibilities
Monitoring & Security
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
  • Implement and maintain security measures through risk assessment and vulnerability management
QualificationsKnowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering/computer science or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Knowledge of the following:
  • DevOps and CI/CD practices
  • Cloud computing
  • Containerization and orchestration
  • Infrastructure as code (IaC)
  • Networking and network technologies
  • Server hardware
  • Troubleshooting methodologies
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT position
  • 2+ years of DevOps experience
Technologies
  • Languages: Bash, Python, Puppet, Terraform
  • Containerization: Docker/Podman and Kubernetes
  • CI/CD Tools: Git, GitLab
  • Monitoring Tools: Prometheus, Grafana
