1. JOB SUMMARY:
The Radiation Therapist assumes responsibility for administering radiation treatment in accordance with Radiation Oncologist, prescription, departmental policy and procedures/standards of care. Calculate basic prescription calculations and check calculations done by others, including preparation of and documentation in the treatment record. Maintain treatment record throughout a course of radiation therapy. Respond to patient condition and patient care needs including comprehensive patient education. Maintain goals, policies and standards of performance according to policy.2. QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of Radiation Therapy
Ability to communicate clearly and respond to needs of others
Ability to function as a team member
Ability to communicate in the French Language would be an asset

3. EDUCATION:

Graduate from an approved School of Radiation Therapy
Registration with the CMRITO
Current CPR registration required
