Here’s what you’ll do:Respond to plan inquiries and requests from clients and plan members promptly and professionallyCalculate and process timely payment of termination, retirement, and death benefits for medium-sized plans and review such for simple plansFoster strong relationships between clients and the consulting teamCoordinate information flow between clients and trustees effectivelyReconcile plan assets and plan memberships with precisionTrain new analysts on systems and procedures to ensure consistencyPrepare year-end annual pension statements accuratelyPrepare membership and asset data for actuarial valuations conscientiouslyApply and interpret pension benefit calculations in accordance with plan provisions and legislative requirementsWork with pension databases to ensure data accuracyAttend internal training sessions to stay updated on industry trends and topicsParticipate in client meetings and presentations to add valueAssist with special projects as required to support team goalsWhat You BringWe’re looking for an experienced and skilled individual with:2+ years of Defined Benefit pension administration experience (including complex retirement, termination, death, and marriage breakdown calculations)Post-secondary education (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science) or relevant courses related to Pension AdministrationAdvanced knowledge of Defined Benefit pension plans and provincial pension and tax legislationExperience reviewing pension calculations and member transactionsThe ability to lead projects, taking ownership and accountability for assigned tasksProven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with easeExcellent analytical and mathematical skillsA strong client service focus with exceptional professional acumenNice to HaveBilingual (English and French)Salary Range: $48,300 - $89,700.00 CAD Annual
