ABOUT THE ROLEAmrize is recruiting Journeyman Millwrights to maintain, improve, and optimize the mechanical operations for our Cement Plant located in Richmond, BC. This is a permanent, full time, hourly opportunity.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHMaintain and repair heavy industrial equipment, including rotary cement kilns, ball mills, large gearsets, crushers, and compressorsService and troubleshoot a wide range of mechanical systems: fans, blowers, conveyors (belt, bucket, screw, pneumatic), and vibrating screensRepair and maintain gearboxes, clutches, pumps, and other rotating equipmentRespond urgently to equipment breakdowns while upholding safety and product quality standardsPerform regular inspections to prioritize preventative maintenance over reactive repairsCollaborate with team members and work independently to meet maintenance and operational goalsCommunicate with operations, delivery teams, and management to resolve mechanical and process issuesMaintain accountability by keeping managers informed and owning outcomes of decisionsContribute to a culture of continuous improvement aimed at maintaining top-tier facility performanceDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Required Work Experience: Minimum two (2) years heavy manufacturing/mining experience.Additional Requirements:A commitment to working safelyTroubleshooting skills.Self-starter: Capacity to work as part of a team and independentlyAbility to work in various work environments (hot and cold).Reliable and dependableSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
