- Collaborate with senior team members to develop and implement effective tax planning strategies.
- Assist in analyzing client financial information to identify tax savings opportunities and ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local tax laws.
- Prepare and review tax returns, projections, and other related documentation for individuals and corporate clients.
- Stay up to date on tax regulations and legal changes, providing research and insight to support team strategies and recommendations.
- Work directly with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide exceptional service.
- Support the preparation of tax opinions, memos, and other related documents as needed.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of client needs.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a CPA designation or progress towards it is an asset.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in tax planning, compliance, or a similar area.
- Solid understanding of tax regulations and concepts; experience with tax software and financial systems is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; familiarity with tax preparation software is a plus.
