Position: Carpenter Journeyperson - Fish Creek Wastewater TreatmentProject Type: WaterProject Location: Calgary, ABShift: DaySchedule: 5 days on, 2 days offAccommodations: Local OnlyGC: GrahamAllied Partner: Technical Workforce Inc.Reference Number: 30812Jardeg is currently recruiting for Carpenter Journeypersons to work with Technical Workforce Inc. for the Fish Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant in Calgary, AB!This position is a 5 days on and 2 days off schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends. At this time, only local candidates will be considered.As a Carpenter Journeyperson, you will:
Build forms for concrete
Cut, shape, and join
Look for and fix deficiencies
Check accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
Study blueprints for work planning
Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete
Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
Act as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
General site upkeep
Minimum Requirements:
Preference will be given to candidates with a Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
Experience with concrete formwork required
Fall Protection is an asset * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
