Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Reconciliation Officer role is responsible for execution of all reconciliation related activities for an assigned portfolio. It performs in-depth investigations and is responsible for the effective resolution of issues impacting our clients, operational risk and RBC’s financial results.**Please note this is a 12 month contractWhat will you do?Prioritize and adjust tasks and schedules as necessary to meet established timelines/deadlinesEnsure adherence to Enterprise General Ledger Attestation Policy, SLAs and GRS operational controlsPerform investigations related to the resolution of reconciliations, which may require use of numerous RBCI ( Royal Bank of Canada Insurance ) systems and applicationsInvestigation and follow up to be completed daily with adherence to established SLAs and use of the escalation protocolProactively identify and escalate process challenges to Senior Reconcilation Officers/Leads and/or ManagersEnsure appropriate supporting documentation for reconcilations/postings are prepared and provided to approvers for their reviewEnsure all required reports are completed in a timely and efficient mannerRecommend process improvements/changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness wherever possibleAct as a coach and provide support on any assistance and escalation requests received as well as participateMaintain up-to-date procedures and microlearning webex videos to ensure consistent servicePrompt and professional response to any enquiries from various internal business partners.Cross-train to ensure quality support and backup/coverage at all timesWhat do you need to succeed?Must HaveKnowledge of General Ledger reconciliation processing and Enterprise GL Attestation PolicyGood understanding of Enterprise and FSS applications related to GL Reconciliation ActivitiesExcellent Word and Excel skillsNice to HaveSense of urgency, agile, adaptable and resilient to handle multiple situationsAn innovative thinker who is proactive and well organized with attention to detailStrong ability to problem-solve, drive results and win as a teamGrowth mindset and willing to try new thingsStrong communication and client/partner service skillsWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
