- Three (3) year College Diploma in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline
- Eligibility for and willingness to obtain a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) Designation from the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT)
- Position Equivalency Code: D
- Five (5) years of experience performing duties related to the major responsibilities of the position
- Experience in a field of practice related to one of the following municipal infrastructure systems: drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and/or rights of way (pedestrian and vehicular)
- Experience authoring and publishing documents of a requirements nature
- Experience engaging and leading stakeholders from project kickoff through to project completion
- Experience conducting research, preparing reports and making effective recommendations
- General knowledge of the following legislation, regulations, or requirements: American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards; American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM); Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standards; Asset Management Planning; Ontario Regulation 588/17; Role of Conservation Authorities (LSRCA and NVCA)
- Working knowledge of Ontario Provincial Standards (OPS)
- General knowledge of industry best practices related to municipal infrastructure systems, quality management systems and theory
- Demonstrated ability to:

- Basic computer literacy using Arc GIS (finding locations and accessing asset attributes)
- Intermediate computer literacy using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Project) and AutoCAD (composing 2 dimensional diagrams)
- Availability to attend evening/weekend meetings or to work outside of designated normal hours per week
- Full membership in the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT)
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check*
- Pay Level: Level 8
- Yearly Salary: $74,092.20 to $88,816.00
- Hourly Pay Rate: $40.71 to $48.80
