Reporting to the Operations Manager, the selected candidate will manage one of the three project management groups and will work in conjunction with the other two managers to champion project management best practices and manage risks to the organization. The selected person will be responsible to effectively align resources, budget and reporting requirements and will have in-depth experience in project planning, facilitation and influence at all levels of an organization to actively manage and resolve issues such as getting people with different styles and agendas aligned. The candidate will strive to improve the on-time, on-budget delivery of projects, methodology compliance and accuracy of estimates vs actual project cost and schedule.Your responsibilities
  • Improve and standardize the project management processes, while taking into account the type of projects being managed, and ensure the organization is consistently adhering to them.
  • Manage team of project managers and supporting individuals with a strong focus on team building, inclusion, diversity, safety and integrity.
  • Manage projects of one of the three project management groups and ensure important issues are addressed before they escalate.
  • Assist project teams improving methods to effectively track results over time and monitor overall health of projects.
  • Communicate the status, issues, and risks of projects with a constructive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Collaborate across the business to understand implementation delivery priorities specific to the business area and make recommendations to anticipate the demand.
  • Lead the project governance and business prioritization process.
  • Manage and improve capacity planning to allocate resources appropriately.
  • Report and develop KPI to improve process and efficiency.
Your background
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a lead role.
  • Certified Project Management Professional, or similar designation(s).
  • Strong leadership able to inspire a collaborative environment.
  • High level of business, financial and technical acumen.
  • Ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering projects on time and on budget.
  • Strong ability to interact with customers and manage challenging situations in positive manners.
  • Good change management skills.
  • Advanced user of all Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent English and French.
