Ideal for a self-starter with strong commercial instincts, this role offers the freedom to grow your portfolio in a supportive, boutique-style environment, all while working in a flexible hybrid model based in the Greater Toronto Area.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Commercial Insurance Producer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a profitable book of business focused on unique, high-value sectors. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Client Acquisition & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new commercial clients within niche and specialty markets including but not limited to, fine art and jewellers block.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and market research.
- Strategically grow your portfolio while identifying long-term relationship and cross-sell opportunities.
- Tailored Insurance Solutions
- Assess the risk profiles of potential and existing clients to create customized insurance programs aligned with their unique needs.
- Work closely with underwriting partners and support teams to ensure accuracy in quoting, binding, and policy execution.
- Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor by providing high-touch service and expert guidance to clients.
- Proactively manage renewals, resolve client concerns, and adjust coverage to reflect business changes.
- Industry Expertise & Market Insight
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, specialty markets, and evolving risks.
- Provide strategic input to internal teams based on client feedback and market conditions.
- Team Collaboration
- Work alongside account managers, administrative staff, and leadership to ensure seamless onboarding and exceptional service delivery.
- Share knowledge and participate in team sessions to promote continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Licensing & Experience
- A diploma or degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.
- RIBO license is preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in commercial insurance sales or account management, ideally with exposure to niche or specialty markets.
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency with insurance quoting platforms, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Applied Epic is an asset.
- Familiarity with specialty insurance markets and high-value commercial lines is advantageous.
