Senior Accountant

• Leadership: Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members throughout the month-end close process.
• Financial Reporting: Compile financial statements and prepare month-end financial reporting packages.
• Analysis: Conduct performance and trend analysis to deliver meaningful financial insights to internal stakeholders.
• Journal Entries & Reconciliations: Create complex journal entries and account reconciliations; review entries prepared by junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Advanced Financial Operations: Perform advanced calculations and analyses for intricate financial transactions.
• Integration: Support post-acquisition integration processes for general ledger systems and other financial operations.
• Compliance: Manage provincial and federal sales tax filings across all applicable jurisdictions.
• Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve existing processes, procedures, and internal controls; recommend and implement necessary enhancements.

• CPA Designation: Holder of a valid CPA (or equivalent) with a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
• Experience: 4+ years of accounting experience, with recent years in a senior capacity.
• IFRS Knowledge: Demonstrated working experience with IFRS standards.
• Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and coach teams effectively.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Organization: Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Independence: Strong ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• M& A Expertise: Experience with post-acquisition integration processes is an asset.
