
Scheduling Manager

- Own and optimize the master production schedule, balancing sales forecasts, customer priorities, equipment capacity, and production cycle constraints
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Scheduling/Planning team, fostering accountability, growth, and succession planning
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Warehouse, Shipping, Quality, and Engineering to ensure on-time delivery and efficient use of resources
- Estimate and plan production times considering machine availability, backlog, tooling, product complexity, and outside operations
- Monitor work-in-process, stock levels, and forecasts, maintaining optimal materials and WIP inventory to meet delivery and budget goals
- Track and analyze KPIs (schedule adherence, on-time delivery, capacity utilization), implementing corrective actions and driving data-based decisions
- Lead the transition from manual scheduling to ERP/MRP systems, streamlining processes, leveraging technology, and scaling workflows for greater efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement and long-term planning initiatives, including capital projects, capacity optimization, and resource utilization
- Proactively resolve capacity, supply chain, and scheduling challenges while maintaining customer commitments
- Contribute to a safe, compliant, and collaborative work environment in line with AADG policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
- Perform other duties and special projects as required
- Post-secondary degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Business, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
- 7-10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing planning/scheduling and operations leadership, including people management
- Demonstrated success leading teams in a fast-paced, unionized manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of scheduling systems, ERP/MRP, inventory management, and capacity planning practices
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and reporting tools; familiarity with accounting or financial systems an asset
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Exceptional leadership presence with strong decision-making, project management, and change management skills
- Excellent analytical ability, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with customers
