SENIOR INVESTMENT ACTUARY – LIFE – BERMUDA – 10% TAX – HR130About this opportunityOur client is a newly established entrant in the growing international High Net Worth (HNW) life insurance sector. The company specializes in wealth succession solutions designed to address the global complexities facing affluent individuals. By leveraging modern technology, they aim to refine the traditional insurance model into a seamless, efficient, and client-centric experience.The company is seeking a seasoned professional to support the Chief Actuary in shaping and executing the organization's investment and hedging strategies. Operating within an offshore regulatory framework, this pivotal role leads the development of Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) and oversees hedging programs for market risks associated with the company's product suite, such as Indexed Universal Life (IUL).What you'll need
  • Fellowship in a recognized actuarial body (FSA, FIA, or equivalent), with CFA designation or progress preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in Asset-Liability Management (ALM), investment strategy, or product-investment integration within the life insurance sector
  • Specialized exposure to High Net Worth (HNW) Indexed Universal Life (IUL) or Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIA)
  • Deep technical expertise in liability-driven investing (LDI), long-duration guarantees, and the investment dynamics of HNW products
  • Strong understanding of Bermuda's regulatory requirements, including Economic Balance Sheet (EBS), BSCR, and the Scenario-Based Approach (SBA)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop quantitative models, analytics, and processes from scratch, with a focus on interpreting sensitivities and capital impacts
  • Expert-level command of asset-liability interactions and their influence on overall solvency and risk frameworks
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and leading high-stakes initiatives while maintaining a hands-on approach to technical work
