Sr. Accountant

• Prepare month-end journal entries and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Assist in drafting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain lead schedules, including fixed asset continuity and accrued expense schedules.
• Manage tax continuity schedules and support tax reconciliations for income tax, retail sales tax, harmonized sales tax, and insurance premium tax.
• Contribute to management reporting efforts and regulatory filing requirements.
• Perform variance analysis and provide detailed commentary on financial outcomes.
• Support the external year-end audit process by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Reconciliation: Investigate and reconcile accounts from trial balance to source documents.
• Communication: Strong collaboration with Canadian and US teams.

• Qualifications
• 3-5 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• CPA designation or equivalent preferred (ACCA, CA considered).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, adaptability, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Experience with OSFI reporting is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
