Brief Description:Our employer is a full-service digital accounting firm built for business owners, healthcare professionals and small-to medium-sized businesses with comprehensive tax needs across Canada. They are looking for someone who can support the accountant with clean, organized year-end files and assist with tax prep and compilation work efficiently.Job Function:
- Prepare CaseWare working paper files
- Assist with Notice to Reader / Compilation engagement files
- Prepare or assist with T2 corporate tax returns
- Prepare or assist with T1 personal tax returns
- Perform year-end reconciliations and working paper cleanup
- Support accountant on adjusting entries, lead sheets, and file organization
- Assist with light bookkeeping, cleanup work, and year-end catch-up as needed
- Work on files for professional corporations, holdcos, and owner-managed businesses
Job Requirement:Core responsibilities
- Experience in a Canadian CPA firm or small/mid-size public accounting practice
- Familiarity with CaseWare
- Experience preparing or supporting compilation files
- Exposure to T2 and T1 preparation
- Strong Excel and bookkeeping fundamentals
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple client files
- Experience with healthcare professionals and incorporated professionals
- Exposure to GST/HST and year-end bookkeeping cleanup
- Familiarity with tax and working paper software commonly used in Canadian firms
