As a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, our mission is to reimagine the performance of buildings to serve people, places, and the planet.As an Engineering PLM Transformational Specialist, you will take full accountability for leading cross-functional engineering change initiatives. This role plays a pivotal part in driving enterprise-wide PLM transformation, with a focus on PTC Windchill implementation and optimization. It encompasses process mapping, system integration, stakeholder engagement, and change management to elevate engineering efficiency and product lifecycle excellence.THIS ROLE WILL BE FOCUSED ON A 2 YEAR PROJECT (SEPTEMBER 2027)Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Change Leadership:Lead end-to-end requirements gathering and design through testing, deployment, and post-launch support.Analyze and optimize engineering workflows (CAD, BOM, change control, document management) using automation, ETL, PLM APIs, and digital twins.Support migration of all Design Engineering documents and submissions into PLM, providing guidance and training.Coordinate smooth data migration from legacy systems to Windchill, ensuring data integrity and clean CAD/BOM transfer.Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Manufacturing, QA, and business teams to translate needs into technical PLM solutions.Develop and deliver training, documentation, and support to stakeholders to enable user adoption and skill development.Lead digital transformation initiatives leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies (AI/ML, IoT, cloud, ThingWorx).Implement data governance, KPIs, and dashboards to measure PLM success, ROI, and continuous improvement.Manage project aspects: timelines, deliverables, scope changes, vendor/sub-contractor coordination, and risk mitigation.Support best practices in PLM and CAD standardization, driving enterprise-wide alignment and digital thread continuity.Equipment Design Engineering:Lead the updating of Creo Assemblies with missing bulk parts.Ensure all Creo and converted CAD files are ready for PLM.Coordinate the conversion of low volume legacy files to PTC Creo.Support the migration of all CAD data to PLM.Guide and train the CAD Team in the use of PTC Windchill.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.Preferred: Certifications in PTC Windchill System/Business Administration.Preferred: Lean Six Sigma/Design Thinking certifications.Technical Skills:Windchill customization (lifecycles, Info Tasks, actions, Access Control Lists).GUI, workflow, and data model configuration.Programming languages: Java, JSP, JavaScript, XML for extensions and integrations.ETL fundamentals; CAD/BOM data handling and migration.Johnson Controls’ Canadian subsidiaries are committed to providing reasonable accommodation to applicants, candidates and employees with disabilities, in accordance with applicable human rights legislation, and in Ontario, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (“AODA”).
