We believe in fairness and choose to be honest, transparent and authentic in everything we do.Key Responsibilities:Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety cultureOperate and maintain foundry machineryPrepare molds using sand for casting metal componentsMelt and pour molten metal into molds, ensuring proper temperature and compositionVerify fit accuracy by correctly using gaugesUtilize hoist to manipulate castings to the proper position for fitting/gaugingKeeping track of the part identificationCorrectly fill out shift pitch board to include current pitch and reasons if pitch is missedKeep work station in good order for the next shift/operatorMaintain accurate production records and report any issues or faultsJob Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:Prior experience in manufacturing environment preferredStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safetyAbility to work with othersAbility to work on your feet for 8 hoursWorking Conditions:Exposure to high temperatures, noise, and dustUse of personal protective equipmentFounded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
