- Managing and enhancing the company’s Quality Management System (HACCP, GFSI-based standards such as BRC/FSSC/ISO)
- Leading day-to-day QA activities including product inspections, documentation, and program compliance
- Investigating non-conformances and driving root cause and corrective actions
- Ensuring compliance with Canadian and U.S. regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate product specifications
- Supporting and leading internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness
- Collaborating with operations, R&D, and leadership to continuously improve quality and food safety practices
- Providing direction to junior support (Co-op student) while helping build structure and consistency across QA processes
- ~2–4 years of experience in quality assurance within food manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of GFSI-recognized quality systems (e.g., HACCP, BRC, SQF, FSSC 22000)
- Demonstrated leadership experience, whether through direct people management, mentoring, or taking ownership of key quality processes and initiatives
- A hands-on, detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills
- Proven ability to take initiative and drive improvements independently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
