We are proud to be recognized as one of the 'Great Place to Work' in Canada for 2025.The sales manager will manage segmented accounts by imploring sales activities to generate group and events bookings for the hotel. They will uncover and respond to account needs to produce group, catering and business travel revenue in-line with hotel and individual goals and targets.This is a maternity coverage opportunity (18 months) with a possibility for extension.Main Duties:· Works collaboratively with hotel teams, Hyatt Sales Force, Convention Bureaus and other hotel counterparts to drive revenue and ensure customer satisfaction and increase market share.· Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers, industry organizations to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows.· Business travel demands based on budgeted events which may include weekends and evenings· Develops and manages relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.· Understands the overall market including competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, and knows how to sell in a competitive manner.· Targets accounts, markets or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.· Develops and implements an effective sales plan.· Qualifies group and event needs to provide tailored proposals in-line with hotel revenue strategies and effectively manages the sales process to win the business.· Executes designated sales strategies to develop and solicit specific accounts to achieve hotel and individual revenue goals.· Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.· Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.· Interacts with the operation team to ensure understanding of guest needs and in creating a working relationship within all areas of the operationQualifications:Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.Ability to think creatively to develop, design, or create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions and solve problems by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution.Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your workSystems knowledge considered an asset – Envision Sales, Cvent, Lanyon, Opera, Reserve, PriOMinimum 2 years of previous Hotel Sales experience is required to excel in this role
