We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative I (SDR I) to join our Small Agency team, where you’ll use a mix of proven sales techniques and AI-powered prospecting tools to source, qualify, and connect with potential partners—booking high-quality demos for our Account Executive team.About the JobAs a Sales Development Representative I, your mission is to fuel pipeline growth by identifying and qualifying prospective SMB-focused channel partners through structured outreach and inbound lead engagement. You’ll initiate the sales process by delivering relevant messaging, conducting early discovery, and booking high-quality product demonstrations for our Account Executives.At this role, success is all about consistency, coachability, and executing on repeatable workflows. You’ll develop foundational prospecting skills while leveraging team-developed tools—including generative AI prompts—to support email generation, call preparation, and objection handling. This role is ideal for self-starters eager to grow in SaaS sales, build industry acumen, and make an immediate impact on Vendasta’s growth engine.Your ImpactAs a Sales Development Representative, you’ll collaborate with the Sales team and Account Executives to:Lead Generation & Outreach
- Proactively source and qualify potential channel partners through outbound methods (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Promptly follow up on inbound leads from webinars, gated content, or platform signups
- Use pre-built AI prompts and enablement tools to personalize outreach and create call scripts, email templates, and value messaging
- Schedule high-quality discovery meetings and demos for Account Executives that align with Vendasta’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
- Conduct initial conversations to understand prospect needs, business structure, and readiness to adopt Vendasta’s platform
- Apply guided qualification criteria to assess product-market fit and route leads to the appropriate AE or sales motion
- Capture accurate data in the CRM to support tracking, reporting, and pipeline progression
- Maintain detailed lead records and activity tracking in CRM (e.g., Salesforce)
- Execute daily prospecting goals with discipline: minimum 25 emails and 25 calls per day
- Participate in call coaching sessions, team huddles, and retrospective reviews to continuously improve
- Collaborate with AEs and Marketing to refine messaging and identify conversion patterns
- Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats
- Are willing to learn and improve through feedback, mentorship, and performance data
- Can manage time effectively in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment
- Have familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), email sequencing tools, and sales engagement software
- Bring experience with LinkedIn and social outreach as prospecting channels
- Have exposure to AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) for writing assistance or call preparation (a plus)
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred, not required)
