  • Responsible for reporting ISO and environmental aspects pertaining to the powerhouse.
  • Completes/assists with annual self audit and other reports as required.
  • Contributes to completing monthly energy reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintains and updates operating procedures and MSDS.
  • Testing and maintenance documentation as assigned for pressure vessel NDT, safety relief valves, backwater flow valves, etc.
  • Maintains maintenance records for boilers, air compressors and other equipment.
  • Monitors proper inventory of water treatment and testing chemicals, lubricants, and spare parts.
  • Active participation in continuous improvement activities.
  • Troubleshoots all powerhouse issues on a pro-active basis.
  • Participates in weekend coverage rotation.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB: (CRITERIA)
  • 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate (4th Class considered with significant experience/demonstrated progress towards 3rd Class certification).
  • Experience in a powerhouse operation.
  • Knowledge of steam plant operating systems, boiler feedwater treatment and testing, air compressor and vacuum pump systems.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Good attendance record.
  • Good safety record.
  • Current pay rate is: $43.13/hr (3rd Class), $39.18/hr (4th Class.)
  • 7 day/12 hour (continental schedule) consisting of 12 hour shifts with day/night rotation. 42 hour average per week.
  • Night shift premium at $0.90/hr
