Position Status: Part-Time, Full-Time and Casual Available
Shifts: Various days, evenings, and overnight shifts
Wage: $19.38/hr - $20.41/hr
Reports to: Site Supervisor/ Client Service ManagerKey Responsibilities:
- Access Control: Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter. Verify identification and issue temporary passes as needed.
- Patrol Duties: Conduct regular patrols of the premises, to detect and deter any suspicious activity or potential security threats.
- Surveillance Monitoring: Operate and monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras and alarm systems, to identify and respond to any security breaches.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, taking appropriate action to resolve the situation and minimize risk. This includes coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as required.
- Report Writing: Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, daily logs, and other security documentation as needed. Maintain clear communication with supervisors and other security personnel.
- Customer Service: Provide assistance and guidance to visitors and employees, ensuring a positive experience while maintaining security standards.
- Must possess a valid BC Security Workers License or be willing to obtain it.
- Must be able to obtain a Reliability Clearance and be minimum 19 years of age.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in using security technology (e.g., CCTV, access control systems).
- Physical fitness and ability to perform duties requiring standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods.
- Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions if patrols involve outdoor areas.
