Our client is a leader in their industry, with multiple locations, and is looking to bring on a Payroll and benefits administrator.About the role:
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will report into the finance team, and will be responsible for full cycle payroll in a stand alone role.Main responsibilities include:
- Process weekly/bi-weekly payroll in ADP Workforce Now
- Manage remittances, ROEs, and year-end filings (T4s, EHT, WSIB)
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports (earnings, deductions, taxes, leaves)
- Maintain accurate payroll data (wages, benefits, pensions)
- Reconcile payroll and group benefits accounts; support audits
- Monitor payroll costs and assist with budgeting/forecasting
- Ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies
- Collaborate with HR
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience and proficiency using Payroll systems, specifically ADP Workforce Now
- PCP (payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation is a strong asset
