Join us and contribute to our mission of continued project excellence and support for growth in Ontario.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAs an environmental practitioner, your role will be focused on environmental site assessment, remediation and/or risk assessment. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Manage environmental programs including: Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, site monitoring programs, excess soil investigations, remediation programs, and/or risk assessmentsDevelop relationships with key clients to further expand business opportunitiesMentor junior staff to learn and follow standard operation procedures for work assigned, while continuing to develop skillsDemonstrate ability to analyze field and technical data, and draft technical reportsCarry-out office duties such as data analysis and interpretation, report preparation, proposal preparation, and general project management tasksOccasional travel may be requiredYour Capabilities and CredentialsProficiency with environmental site assessment, excess soil management, soil vapour assessments, remedial options analysis and risk management plansEstablished project management skillsExcellent technical writing and oral communication skills, in particular with respect to regulatory agencies, project stakeholders, and clientsHighly organized and self-motivatedExcellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure and within short timelinesProficient with Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)Conscientious, detail oriented, and disciplined approach to projectsStrong interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skillsInitiative in integrating creativity and efficiency in all work tasksValid Ontario driver’s licenseAbility to obtain federal reliability security clearance.Education and ExperienceEducational Background: Degree and/or post-graduate college diploma in Civil/Environmental/Geological/Chemical Engineering, Hydrogeology, Toxicology or Environmental Sciences (Master’s degree an additional asset).Professional Designation: P.Eng., P.Geo. designation in Ontario, and/or eligibility for QPESA and/or QPRA status in OntarioExperience Level: 5+ years in environmental consulting or a related field, with client, project and/or staff leadership experienceAbility to obtain Secret Security clearance with the federal government is an assetThis description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.About StantecStantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting.
