In this role, you will help us simplify the real estate journey by building ambitious products and features for home buyers, sellers and eXp agents.Work on our existing Golang and Ruby on Rails backend services to build new APIs, tune performance and expand functionalityWork on our Next.js/React applications to expose features and improve functionality to our customersWork within our Kubernetes & AWS infrastructure to launch new services, balance workloads and manage capacityWork collaboratively to define, design, deliver and care for valuable solutions for our customersWrite testable, observable, maintainable code using direct and AI enabled technologiesShare knowledge and contribute to system documentationWork closely with and collaborate with other Staff Engineers, Engineering Management, Product Management and ExecutivesHow you will grab our attention:6+ years of backend development experience with a server-side programming language (Golang or Javascript preferred)Experience with a relational database such as Postgres, Mysql, MSSQLDemonstrated ability to collaborate, take ownership and deliver on important projectsHigh attention to detail and excited to learn new skills while working on the most important problems across the tech stackExperience working with a cloud provider such as AWS, GCP or others is a plusExperience in Ruby, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, Docker and Next.js is a plusExperience working with DevOps tooling such as CDNs, CICD, Observability tools and shell scripting is a plusExperience with SEO is a plusIf you think you'd make a great match for this position but don't meet all the requirements, we would still encourage you to apply!What eXp Canada provides:Employer paid Medical coverage, as well as Dental & Vision benefitsCompany supplied equipment; laptop, monitor, headsetMonthly technology stipendRRSP with up to a 4% matchStock option grantFully remote environmentUnlimited PTO for salaried employees with flexible working hoursHealth & Wellness InventivesAnd more..The starting base pay for this position is $125,000 CAD per year and is dependent upon many factors such as location, experience, skills, and training.
