With opportunities for employee training, wellness programs and professional development the City of Prince George offers a safe and supportive workplace in which to serve our community.About the opportunity:The focus of these positions is to provide lifeguarding functions, instruct swimming lessons, assist in the operation of an aquatic facility and respond to a variety of customer requests and concerns. The hours are flexible and varied involving morning, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts.Recruitment Timeline:Skills Testing - September 11Interviews - September 15-26Orientation - October 8 & 10About your background:You have completed Grade 10 as well as current certificates and awards as follows:
  • National Lifeguard Award - Pool Option
  • Lifesaving Society Swim for Life Instructor
  • Eight (8) hours of teaching experience.
  • Standard First Aid/CPR-C/AED
The following awards will be considered an asset:
  • Lifesaving Instructor Award
  • Certified BCRPA Aquafit Instructor
