Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our client's building maintenance team in Ajax, ON. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the daily operation, maintenance, and upkeep of company facilities. Working under general supervision, this role performs a wide range of manual, maintenance, and repair tasks to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient workplace environment. The position supports office and plant operations and responds effectively to maintenance needs, renovations, and emergency situations.Pay Rate: $Location: Ajax, ONSchedule: 7:30am - 4:30pmJob type: Temporary | Full-time | 5-week assignmentVacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.Here's why you should apply:Paid weekly accurate and on timeStrong health and safety programsMedical and dental benefits once qualifiedFree training programsNew and quicker onboarding processResponsibilities:Perform work related to the operation and maintenance of company facilities under general supervisionCarry out manual duties involving basic repairs, servicing, and maintenance of plant equipment, buildings, and propertiesOperate tools and equipment commonly used in facilities maintenance in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety ActClear snow and apply salt to walkways and pathways as required to maintain safe accessConduct minor repairs to physical resources and portable assetsSupport renovation projects, including but not limited to:PaintingInstallation of flooring and carpetsDrywall repairsDoor installation and general repairsAssist with office and plant layout changes to meet operational needsLiaise with external service providers and contractors including cleaners, security providers, waste haulers, grounds maintenance, plumbing and electrical contractors, building trades, furniture suppliers, and othersRespond effectively to emergency and crisis situationsMaintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable legislation and standardsPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications and Skills:Minimum of three (3) years' experience in facilities or building maintenanceWorking knowledge of:HVAC systemsEnergy managementNatural gas systemsPlumbing systemsElectrical systems maintenance and operationStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organizationExcellent customer service skills when working with internal teams and external suppliersAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlinesProven ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrentlyDemonstrated capability to manage emergency or crisis situations efficiently and calmlyFamiliarity with the Controlled Goods ProgramDemonstrated understanding of:Ontario Building CodeIndustry standardsCompany policies and proceduresWHMISOccupational Health and Safety ActAbility to use relevant computer software and internal systems for maintenance tracking and communicationMust be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaAre you interested in this position?
