This position involves monitoring machinery, maintaining product quality standards, and following safety and sanitation protocols. Success in this role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.What a typical day looks like:
  • Review the production schedule to determine ingredient requirements and priorities, check inventory levels, and coordinate ingredients for batching accordingly.
  • Assist with daily inventory counts, including bulk, extrusion, and bagged materials.
  • Support truck unloading activities to align with production needs, customer expectations, and carrier schedules.
  • Maintain accurate production and maintenance records, promptly reporting any issues to the area supervisor.
  • Participate in the company’s annual physical inventory process.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the work areas in compliance with company policies and health and safety standards.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to health and safety, food safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Assist with mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food production.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using tools and equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift; certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience and/or certification in confined space entry and fall arrest procedures.
  • Proficiency in using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to accurately complete required documentation and reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Solid computer literacy.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Physically fit, with the ability to regularly lift loads up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions:
  • Shift work required.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Dusty Environment
  • Clean required on large equipment.
