Position SummaryResponsible for preparing quality food on a timely and accurate basis to the guest’s specifications based on established guidelines.Duties and responsibilities:Provides exceptional and professional service to our guests and team membersEnsures the well-being of our guests and team members by being alert to and reporting potential hazardsModels all Deerhurst Resort Standards while caring for the guests, co-workers and ownersComfortable making responsible decisions and develops recommendations for effective problem solvingMaintains a high focus on sanitation and working cleanHandles and stores food as per the sanitary guidelinesComplies with all loss prevention guidelinesReports any faulty equipment immediatelyCooks food to order per recipe card and plating guideRecognizes quality standards in fresh vegetables, fish, dairy and other meat productsCompletes all other duties as assignedQualifications:Any culinary work experienceCompletion of Food Safety/Food Handler courses (Asset)Is flexible with their schedule, available for shift work including evenings, weekends and holidays as business levels requirePhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Constant standing and walking throughout shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbsFrequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsVisa Requirements: Must be eligible to work in Canada.The above job description is not intended to be exhaustive lists of all responsibilities, skills or efforts associated with or expected of the role, but are intended to accurately reflect principal job elements.
