- Manages and mentors a team of multi-disciplined specialists to delivering independent and owner's engineering services including but not limited to development support, design reviews, value engineering, contractor selection and negotiations, field inspections, progress monitoring, construction and management and quality oversight.
- Manages a team of multi-disciplined specialists on the delivery of conceptual through to IFC design packages.
- Supports Wood's Clean Energy business by managing scopes of work that include early-stage feasibility, conceptual design, and FEED for our onshore renewables, decarbonization, green hydrogen and power to x offering. The role would involve the management of multi-discipline engineers and specialists to deliver feasibility, design and owner's engineering scopes of work on time and within budget whilst also delivering best in class value engineering for our clients.
- Manages overall project performance (quality, scope, schedule, cost, communication, resources, risks and customer satisfaction).
- Serves as primary point-of-contact by establishing, maintaining, and managing customer's expectations.
- Prepare proposals, assist in presentations, and participate in contract negotiations. Additionally prepare work orders and change orders as scope changes occur.
- Reports project status and performance data as required to management, project sponsors and other stakeholders. Regularly and accurately reporting the status of key projects to senior management.
- Plans, monitors, and controls the project throughout its life-cycle (bid, contract award, project development/owner's engineering, construction support, close out).
- Work closely with the project team to confirm deliverables and services are being provided to the client's satisfaction. Work with the project team to cross sell additional services.
- Ensuring health, safety and environmental considerations are integral to the delivery of projects and project tasks.
- Add value, avoid/resolve issues, mitigate risks and manage project's finances, project contractors and contracts by applying robust project management practices and experience from previous projects.
- Participation at site visits and meetings in the USA and abroad.
- Disseminate knowledge and experiences to other team members and supporting the development of the team and team members.

- Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Engineering (Civil or Electrical preferred)
- Minimum 8 years' experience of leading owner's engineering services on renewable energy projects through to construction phase
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in delivery of multiple multi-disciplinary renewable energy projects simultaneously
- Experience of onshore Wind, procurement, contracts and construction delivery will be a differentiator.
- Experience of high value contract management and management of contractors
- Ability to prepare high quality, concise documents to convey project progress, status and financial information to internal and external project stakeholders
- Ability to lead and control site, progress and contractor meetings, as well as manage and mentor a team of Project Engineers
- Excellent communication (written and spoken) in English, with the abilty to engage and interface with stakeholders
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with CRM and other client management systems.
- Valid driving licence for use within Canada
- Willingness for occasional domestic travel (up to 20%)
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the Canada, without sponsorship from Wood
- PE license in power; Project Management certification
- Bilingualism (or a proficiency in Spanish)
