We currently have an opportunity for a Mill Operator at our Portage la Prairie, MB location. This position is responsible to operate all milling equipment and systems in the production of oat based ingredients.Responsibilities:Operate all milling equipment, including grain cleaning, dehulling, kilning, flaking and oat flour manufacturing systemsSteam heat treatment of raw and finished productsPerform troubleshooting and minor repairs on milling equipmentTest finished products and work in progress to ensure adherence to quality standardsPerform cleaning duties as assigned to meet standards in all areas of the mill and groundsAccurately complete documentation for all processesOperates in accordance with all food safety, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practicesPerform other duties as requiredQualifications:Grade 12 or equivalentMust be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekendsComputer knowledge an assetPhysically capable of lifting up to 50lbsSolid oral and written communication skillsSolid problem solving and trouble shooting skillsAble to work in a processing environment and adverse conditions (heights, steam processing and hot environments,)Able to work independently as well as in a team environmentRichardson International provides an excellent compensation package consisting of competitive salary, pension, a flexible benefits plan and training and career development opportunities.Interested candidates should click the Apply icon to apply online by May 2, 2024.Richardson International values diversity in the workplace.
