approx. 0800-1600,1000-1800, 1200-2000 or 1500-2300Position Summary:The Medical Radiation Technologist is regulated health professional working under indirect supervision performing diagnostic imaging examinations. The MRT uses their knowledge, skill and judgement in imaging technique and skill as well as radiation emitting equipment, together with an extensive knowledge of the principles of anatomy, physiology and pathology, image acquisition, treatment and radiation protection to deliver high quality care to their patients. The MRT ensures the care provided is safe, appropriate, tailored, timely, and maximizes the potential of the available equipment and resources.In this role, you will:

- Knowledge and experience in multiple modalities
- Modality specific requirements listed below (based on departmental needs at the time of posting).
- Demonstrated commitment to best practice, standards of practice, and life-long learning
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Standards of Practice of the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario, and the Health Professionals Act
- Proven knowledge of ALARA and radiation safety to act as a resource to technologist, other hospital staff, physicians and volunteers
- Intermediate computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office
- Must act as a positive advocate for the professional body of MRT ‘s and the Diagnostic Imaging Department
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making and conflict management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
