- Receive and process work orders and coordinate work assignments of maintenance technicians with the Maintenance Team Lead
- Maintain up to date list of parts and supplies and order spare parts and supplies based on business need
- Maintain communication with vendors and maintain vendor documentation
- Maintain all maintenance data and records in the maintenance database
- Match maintenance technician skills with work assignments and schedule work by employee and shift, with direction from the Team Lead
- Initiate work assignments based on production, warehousing, and equipment needs
- Input and review work for completion and correctness, bringing any concerns to the Team Lead
- Participate in problem-solving efforts for equipment issues to support ensuring root causes are identified and corrective action plans are implemented effectively.
- Participate in group discussions, taking part in periodic meetings and answering maintenance-related questions
- Provide support to maintenance technicians on larger maintenance projects and initiatives. Assist with the repair and maintenance of machines and equipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, follow instructions for daily maintenance tasks, scheduled preventive/corrective maintenance tasks and proactively looking for and addressing issues.
- Complete all the required training on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
- Plant location: Mississauga, ON (Eglinton/Tomken)
- Work week and shift: Day Shift – Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm, schedule may be reviewed/revised based on business need.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 - 3 years of experience in an industrial or maintenance environment
- Basic understanding of technology and computer systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

- Post Secondary degree/diploma or vocational training in maintenance, engineering or related field
- Specialized subject matter expertise in reliability or maintenance field
- Working knowledge of electronics and PLC based applications in an industrial environment
- Advanced computer skills
- Experience with TPM initiatives and 5S methodology
- Familiar with technical writing expectations for thorough review and authorization of maintenance procedures. Technical drawing experience and familiarity to interpret P&ID and engineering documents.
- Forklift, boiler or electrical certifications
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS systems) and MS Office tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform all physical duties
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- The position primarily involves working on the production plant floor and involves working in an office setting, using a computer and telephone.
- Work is carried out in a plant environment with continuous exposure to disagreeable elements of the plant such as noise, and exposure to chemicals. The role may be exposed to extreme temperatures.
