- Lead and supervise lending operations within the branch
- Oversee and recommend credit policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and legislation
- Conduct credit investigations, adjudicate credit applications, and approve or reject credit requests within authority limits
- Advise members on financial services and offer appropriate solutions based on client needs
- Manage accounts receivable and collections processes, including delinquent and complex cases
- Maintain credit files, prepare loan documentation, and ensure timely scanning and records management
- Support sales initiatives by developing a proactive lending and deposit growth culture
- Participate in recruiting, training, and performance development of lending staff
- Conduct member visits and cold calls as needed to support business development
- Prepare credit reports and submit recommendations to senior leadership
- Stay current with all compliance requirements, anti-money laundering regulations, and internal policies
- Provide support to the Branch Manager and act as a liaison between credit, collections, and operations teams
- Minimum 5 years of experience in credit granting or financial institution lending; agricultural lending experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business or finance is an asset
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret client needs and recommend tailored financial solutions
- Proven ability to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy, professionalism, and sound judgment
- Skilled in conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including experience in supervising and developing staff
- Solid understanding of lending regulations, compliance standards, and financial products relevant to agricultural and retail banking
- Willingness to relocate to Stettler, Alberta
